Burl Oak – Vray mat & texture

Due to popular demand ;) here is a new V-Ray mat (or just the perfectly seamless & tilable texture) of a precious wood.

Switching to LWF

For those who doesn’t know about the “Linear Workflow” aka LWF in CG, you have to check this tutorial. Written by Gijs de Zwart, it explains the way to migrate easily, with very clear schematics to understand the whole process.

Especially useful if you work with the 3dsmax & V-Ray combo. I’ve switched myself to LWF and i’m discovering a new way of recreating the lightning of my scenes… It is certainly worth a try !

Glued Laminated Brich – V-Ray mat & texture

Here is a material that I did for a design project. It consist of laminated birch elements glued together. It gives a contemporary & sophisticated look to wood furniture… download the mat or the texture (max7/vray1.5)

Post a comment if you like it… I could share more of my library to the community ;)

Pixelab update

New project added on pixelab. Bigger images and more info on the “making of” of some images can be found here (access to the chaosgroup forum required)
