Inverted “Looking into the past”

I had recently the opportunity to make illustrations for a serie of illustrations for debates about Brussels urbanism for distrurb.be. The idea was to work with old pictures of Brussels, and reuse the “Looking into the past” idea but by inverting it, putting the a recent picture of the real world into the old one instead of the old into the reality. With a bit a photoshop of course.

Here’s the result, hope you like the idea.

Here is a small album of the tower below, in higher resolution.
Notice how the color switch very quickly from orange/blue to violet in minutes… like belgian politics ? ;)

No CG this time / Even if the atmosphere and colors on CG representations of towers are often exaggerated imo, this picture of the Madou Tower (located in Brussels) I took this week may contradict me. Useful as color scheme reference for future works, with this nice Blue/Orange opposition…
